Our hotel has always placed the highest emphasis on the safety and wellbeing of the guests with exacting standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Since COVID-19 has a great impact on all of our lives, we have widened this passion for cleaning perfection to each and every member of the team.
We, at Lokàl Hotel, share your concern regarding exposure to COVID-19.
In keeping with our ethos, we would like to share the processes we put together. Before we re-open we will deliver a new awareness and cleaning training programme to every team member, which will be updated and refreshed on a daily basis at team briefings to ensure that our ongoing commitment to hygiene remains our top priority. We have reviewed and adjusted our operating processes in every department to ensure that we have minimized the opportunity for cross contamination of individuals -
our guests, our team and suppliers.
GUEST ROOMS: We use cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean rooms after guests depart and before the next guest arrives, with particular attention paid to high-touch items. Housekeepers wear new gloves to clean each room. To minimise contact, guests can opt out of daily housekeeping services. In-room dining delivery will be handled with minimal contact.
DIGITAL CONCIERGE: Our room tablets allows our guests to make paperless and contactless requests directly through your guest room.
PUBLIC SPACES: We have introduced more frequent cleaning and disinfecting intervals in public spaces, with a focus on elevators and elevator buttons, door handles, public bathrooms and room keys.
WELLNESS CHECKS: We are conducting regular wellness checks at the beginning of each shift including temperature checks and asking health-related questions. Employees exhibiting signs of illness will be sent home until they can be medically cleared.
ONGOING TRAINING: In addition to training on housekeeping and hygiene protocols, our hotel team is also completing enhanced virus prevention awareness training.
This will inevitably affect some of the services and personal interactions which have occurred in the past and whilst this may limit some of the things we have previously done, we are certain that both our guests and team will agree that safety comes first.
We will continually evaluate and adapt our cleanliness protocols to meet the evolving challenges presented by COVID-19.
